Sometimes it’s more like being stubborn and pay for it later…I know better, but sometimes I have these laps in
good judgement. Like a few days ago, I was pretty busy all afternoon, so automatically upon reaching home, I go eat… I’m starving naturally, and so it begins:
Eat!Drink. Indulge. Change. Hop in bed! Nap, Nap, Nap…Wake up, Change, Go Run!
The moment I closed my eyes, I knew that this would end badly…Napping right after eating a fish meal, with heavy cornbread…is not a good idea… its bad! By this time I’m already in a near comatose state (food coma, always happens after I eat fish). The worst thing I could do to myself, from past experience I’ve learned that napping after eating a big meal, completely upsets my digestive system, I would usually wake up with some sort of upset stomach.
But let’s take it a step further, this stubbornness of mine, Let’s get up and go for a run! Come again? Wake up and run?What are you thinking? What is wrong with you? All questions I ask myself over and over again, as I know this is going to be a BAD run…not only am I sleepy and groggy but also heavy, and sluggish…probably a bit dehydrated too.
I did get tired quicker that usual during that particular run, but all in all, it was a surprisingly good training day after all, but certainly one I do not wish to repeat… 😉
I should really read up more and find an appropriate eating,hydration and sleeping plan that works for me…
