I had no plans for 2015, yet I did a lot. The majority of which I cannot remember.
For 2016, I had some plans, some travel plans, some life plans, some I did follow through on. Others came as a surprise, and I did a few things that I never thought of…
Mentionable things I did this year:
- Get divorced.. (no, I will not talk about this)
- Went to Peru
- Visited Machu Picchu
- 139. Take up astronomy
- 23. See a comet (not really, Did see Jupiter from the Observatory in Tennessee)
- Went to NYC
- Went on dates.
- Talked to strangers… Stranger Danger!!

So, the first week of training went on by
pretty smoothly, waking up early was not really problem anymore, given I went to bed early too. The second week however appears to be a bit troublesome… I need to wake up earlier in order to put longer distances in my training. For some reason, my own personal zoo (4cats/3 dogs) are deciding to have a dance-off/karaoke/WWIII at my sleeping expense around 3AM, every morning….EVERY!
Up! Out of bed! Outside! Breakup Zoo party! Back to bed!….. Repeat!
Needless to say there goes my morning routine, let’s adjust the routine and take it for a sunset workout…Which I might say, is not too bad…
I do live on the island of a 1000 sunsets….all different, all the time…
The only problem, I do have with sunset trainings, is that all the popular and the unpopular spots are always crowded…
So tell me, what’s your preference, early mornings, afternoons or it doesn’t really matter?
Now, this is completely true… Unfortunately, I did feel and look like a fool in a tutu yesterday at Zumba. It was my first time ever doing this “thing”. Dancing as exercise. It was good thing though that I was not there by lonesome myself, as if I would ever go do something that foolish on my own. I have no hand-eye coordination, or feel for rhythm, so Zumba is definitely not something for me. Kudos to those that are really into it, and it works for them. For me, I’ll stick the something more hardcore that needs no hand-eye coordination or choreographed movements…
And on that note…Waking up at the unusual time of six in the morning to go for my first run this year. I’ve been on a break from all activities since late November (excluding snow sports). Now, here lies the
problem challenge, I am NOT a morning person. My alarm will snooze until nine in the morning, and I will still not get up. I will look like zombie if I do, for some odd reason, wake up earlier that seven. So yeah, about that run this morning… did not happen, because I was really kidding myself that going to bed at 1:00 am, works for me.
My goal for today is to get my ass to bed by 9, maybe 10, but no later than that if I seriously want to get started early.
